This was fun, a couple had 4' of water with Katrina and lost the bottom of their china closet.  After some searching they found a new bottom which was great.  Then later had the kitchen counters changed to granite.  After the counters and back splash were done the owner noticed several scrap pieces of granite left over.  He firmly believes in not wasting any thing so he had the guys trim it up in 3 equal size squares.  Now is when I got the fun of trying to mimic the china closet on the other side of the room.  There are a few differences between the too, but because they are 20' apart on opposite sides of the table no one seems to notice much.  I could have made a closer match but it really up the price.

Here is a couple of dressers I made for me an my wife.  Just couldn't bring my self to buy that press wood stuff.

This bed was custom made because of the room that it is in.  It's on the second floor of an A-frame house and the angled walls made it a must to go next to the wall.  Standard furniture just doesn't work well in here.  The draws are 46" deep on one side only since the other side is not accessible.  Also the wood that the mattress rest on can be slid on top of the draw frame to allow access to some storage under the head area.

This is butcher block style table top made from scrap for my dad's card table.  It has some red oak, maple, one strip of mahogany and two types of popular.  It definitely has character with it's knot holes and folding metal legs, but it no longer sags in the middle.  What was most amazing was that it only took about 4 hours to make, a couple on one day to make the pieces and glue them up and then a couple more hours the next day to smooth it out and varnish it up.
