This is a beautiful kitchen bay window with six panes looking out to a fountain and wooded backyard.  The owner of this house was leery of making something permanent to the house, so this seat is more or less a free standing unit with about 4 screws holding it to the floor.  The trim on the front matches the trim  already there.  The six lids are not hinged, but lift up by resting on an internal frame or can be picked up.  When using it as a seat the lids are locked in place by their key stone shape.  The home owner plans to cover the lids with padding and cloth to match the decor of the area.

This bedroom is in a converted attic space which has the roof pitch on two of the walls.  These pictures were taken during at the end of my part of the project and I can't wait to see how the owner finishes this one out.  Larry, the owner designed the lay out and I simply got the joy of making his vision a reality.  The draw under the bed pulls out about 47 inches which holds a lot of stuff.  The frame which the mattress sit on also slides out from the corner which makes more storage behind the draws on both walls.  In addition, it helps in changing the sheets.  The window is covered with lighting panels to allow light to come in, while blocking out the not so pretty window behind it.  What else is neat since, I made everything  I only used 3 different profiles on the woodwork which helps to keep things uniform.  The baseboards, trim under the mattress and the top of the fireplace match.  The draw fronts and the mantle match profiles.

Now here is what it looks like with a designers touch. So much better now I think.

Well is a project ever really done?  Not here.  Larry decided he needed a desk, but the one that was available had legs which would not work because of the drawers under the bed.  The desk added 6 hours to the project.  However, the drawer fronts on the desk match the drawer fronts of the bed drawers.  Also, the support arms under the desk surface have the same profile.

Here I just added the shelves between the two walls.  This was a small space between a toilet and shower.  I am not sure why the wall on the right is there except maybe to add support to the stairs above and behind them.

This book case gets extra depth by extending into the wall and the sides are extensions of the existing wall studs.  The glass and mirrored shelf was done by using a window opening that was covered up when house was added on to.
These are actually my mothers designs, I just got the job.
